How do I create a thumbnail in Final Cut?

I just got the iPhone 12 Pro max to make YouTube videos. How do I create a thumbnail in final cut?

I know how to save current frame, but since the settings are in HDR wide gamut, any image I create is totally washed out. I did create a new project with my video in normal(not HDR) settings and did a screen shot of that hoping it would work- it doesn't. It still looks crazy.

Yes, I can put the picture into iPhoto and edit it/adjust the brightness, but it doesn't end up looking as crisp/good as the actual video. Has anyone else figured out a straightforward way of creating a thumbnail from an HDR video filmed on the iPhone 12 Pro max on final cut?

My iPhone camera is set to 4k at 60fps, HDR. When I upload to video to final cut I have to put it on the HDR wide gamut setting (otherwise the video looks totally washed out). A thumbnail is just the picture showing when you click the video on YouTube, so basically I'm just trying to get a picture from the HDR video without it being super washed out and haven't figured out how. Any screenshot/still image I take from the video gets washed out when I create the image (it happens if I do a jpeg, tiff, etc.). If I take the washed out image and edit the colors, I can't ever get it to look like the original image (it is much lower quality). I'm wondering if there is an easy way to still save a screen shot image in HDR settings (I did this to create thumbnails for YouTube videos all the time before I started filming in HDR and would love to be able to continue doing it)
