My Ipad went through recovery mode. Now I do not know the apple id and password to unlock it. I do not know what to do about. Neither me nor the previous owner know the old apple id and password. What can I do to fix this problem besides change the password for the old apple id.

You need to contact the person who owns that Apple ID or the iPad's original owner. The activation lock is an anti-theft measure.
If that person has forgotten the information, it's an Apple ID issue, not an activation lock one.
