Yahoo Mail folders missing in Mail on MacBook

My folders disappeared from Mail on my MacBook. I tried deleting and reinstalling my Yahoo account but they're still not visible - can anyone help?

MacBook Pro 13″, OS X 10.11

Hey maiddaisy,

We understand that you're missing some folders from your Yahoo account in the Mail app on your Mac. We know how important those emails and folders are. Have you checked to see if those folders appear when signing into the Yahoo webmail service: Yahoo Mail

If you do see them there, see if they're hidden in the Mail app. To do that hover your mouse cursor over "Favorites" at the very top of the sidebar, then choose the "+" sign. In the pop-up window, use the drop-down menu to add the folders back. More details can be found here: Use favorite mailboxes in Mail on Mac
