Amazon Prime Video App takes up too much storage

This is an update to a 2016 thread of the same title- i.e. it is a long standing problem.

The Amazon Prime Video App is hogging 518 MB of storage on my iPad. No videos have ever been downloaded. Tediously deleting 52 items on the watchlist only saved about 100 MB.

Deleting (not merely off loading) then reinstalling the app did not fix the problem, maybe reboot would....

Solution was to delete the app use Safari for streaming.
