MacBook Pro charger flashing on off

A couple weeks ago my computer started not always charging when I plug in the charger. It starts flashing charging, not charging, charging, not charging... I try all ports and flipping the USB C cable and still nothing. Eventually, sometime 20 min later, I find something that sticks and I am usually good until I back it up and go home. Then the same thing. I did all software updates and am now running Big Sur (I was on the old OS when this started). Not sure what to do and with the Apple store closed what my options are. Thanks for the help.

Hi ChrisBos131,

We understand your Mac is not charging. We're happy to help.

If it is constantly toggling between charging/not charging, and it happens with all USB ports, we'd recommend testing a different USB-C cable to make sure that's not the cause of the problem. You can find some additional steps to try for charging issues here: If your USB-C power adapter isn't charging your Mac notebook

If your battery is specifically showing "Not Charging" in the status bar, you'll want to try these steps: If your Mac battery status is “Not Charging”

If you continue to have issues charging, you'd want to contact Apple Support directly fore assistance: Get Support

We hope this helps. Take care!
