A bug with spotlight with the Enter button

When I use Spotlight to find a file, the top hit will be highlighted. I would like to press Enter to open the top hit file, but it doesn't work! Nothing happens, the file isn’t launched as it should normaly.

This happens randomly (approximately one time over two)

Is this a bug? Do I miss something?

Option+click on the first entry and it displays in the Spotlight window. Option+click on the selection again, and it opens with the default application. Command+click and it opens in the Finder with its icon selected.

I see no other means to open the selection in its default application with one try.
