Very simple to understand. You need to install macOS Catalina (10.15.7) or later as a prerequisite to installing Pages v10.3.5 from the Mac App Store.

If you have Pages v8.1 already installed on macOS High Sierra, then that is the end of the line as long as you are running High Sierra. If you have an earlier version of Pages installed, you may (or may not) be able to upgrade to Pages v8.1.

  • Launch and sign-in to the Mac App Store with the same Apple ID as you used to install Pages previously.
  • Press the option key and click on the Purchases tab to show your previous purchases panel.
  • If Pages has an install/update button, click that.
    • You will be informed that Pages v10.3.5 cannot be installed from the Mac App Store
    • Maybe, it will offer a courtesy update to the latest version available (v8.1) for High Sierra
      • And maybe not…
