AppleCare and AIG service with stolen iPhone
my phone was stolen and now I am without a phone and Apple says AIG will send me a new phone and AIG says the new phone will come from Apple. meanwhile I don't have a phone

UPDATE: After 2+ weeks and not a single communication from Apple or AIG in my inbox - my doorman let me know UPS dropped a package off. Phone had been delivered. I pity anyone who doesn’t have secure package delivery as this abhorrent process gave ZERO heads up a package was on its way. No tracking number, no email, nothing.
Thank you for this message board. While this nightmare is happening-it is some sort of relief to know it is happening to many many people. Apple can do best by just working alone-and setting up the plan without the third party insurance companies. The insurance companies just keep you waiting, and stating “I don’t see your claim”, while APPLE says-“I see your claim”. It;’s a waiting for GODOT plan-nothing happens. Meanwhile you don’t have a phone and don’t create a plan to purchase another phone. And AIG has a lot of nerve-requiring signature that if the phone is found-now it is theirs, not yours-before the claim is even processed. Thankfully-I did not fork over more money to this AIG company. Another rip off-we are paying 14.99 a month, and should not have to pay more to make the claim. Just another nickel and dime scheme.
