Logitech c920 camera not working with Big Sur 11.1 on M1 Macbook Pro

Has anyone been able to get a Logitech c920 webcam working on BigSur 11.1 on an M1 Macbook Pro?

*POTENTIAL* solution....

I had this issue also with an M1 MBP, a Logitech 920 camera and a Dell monitor with an in-built USB hub. The Logitech is plugged into the monitor hub.

Every time I rebooted the Mac, it would 'forget' the Logitech camera'.

I have found that power cycling the Dell monitor (which only takes. a few secs) is the most consistent way for the Logitech cam to be re-detected and works fine.

My Logitech C920 HD Pro camera works just fine with macOS 11.1 on my M1 Mini when connected via an unpowered USB 3.1 hub. Be certain to switch the camera choice from the built-in camera on the M1 MBP to the C920.

Thanks for the response and glad yours is working.

Unfortunately, mine is not - have tried every conceivable software control, as well as different hardware configurations - eg plugging directly into the Mac, plugging into a powered USB-C hub, plugging into the built-in USB hub in my external monitor, etc - no joy.

I am having exactly the same issue. Since the Big Sur 11.1 update on macbook my C920 logitech keeps crashing

I have tried different connections to USB and it still wont work. The latest update ACE for logitech also doesn't work with the Big Sur update so that may be the issue?

Same here. I just updated to the 11.2.1 and will try again. I've gone directly from the adapter to the computer. I've done the camera to the hub. The picture crashes or freezes and skips. I hope they fix this. I really don't want to purchase a new camera.

Provided that you shutdown your Mac nightly, that might be a good time to power off the Dell monitor. A reversal of that procedure the next time you boot your Mac might provide an already available C920 webcam. Personally, I have my C920HD plugged into a four-port hub connected directly to my M1 mini. Always works, even with the macOS 11.2.1 update.
