apple watch

I recently sold my Apple Watch series 1 , it has been unpaired from my iPhone and I thought I had unpaired the watch. it is under my same Apple ID I use now but my activation lock is saying that my Apple ID is incorrect but I know its not how can I fix it or remove that Apple ID from it even tho it is the correct account.
