photos in numbers

I have a problem and am looking for suggestions.

I have a spread sheet on a collection of books. The sheet has about 30 columns, and about 100 books.

My hope was to add a cell with one photo of each book, but it's a bit of a problem viewing the photo. I could make the cell large enough to see it but that sort of messes up the rest of the sheet. If I copy and paste the photo cell into Pages I get the whole cell, not just the photo. It works but it's a bit awkward.

I suppose I could make a second spreadsheet with only photos and large enough cells to see them, but that would be better if would be possible to click a link in the first spreadsheet which would take you to the book photo. But this isn't a web site!

Maybe make a photo album and scroll to find the photo of the desired book, but that has issues as well. I suppose one could search the photo data to find the book fairly easily.

Anyone out there have a graceful way to do this?

I'd greatly appreciate any ideas.
