Iphone 12 Pro Silent Mode Not Working

I have recently purchased Iphone 12 Pro and when I put it to silent mode (by toggling the left side button on the device) at times the ringtone still makes a sound. The backtap is turned off thus that is not the issue. Please can I receive advice asap as it is crucial for my device to be silent during meetings.

I do not wish to have to use DND mode every time just because the silent mode button is not activating. I wish for the device to be fixed.

Any luck with a solution? I have the same issue with my iphone not being able to come off silent mode with the physical button. I have to use the accessibility assistant to turn off and still it gives trouble. HELP!

I have the same issue with my iPhone 12 Pro. I am running iOS 14.4. Here is a work-around. Go to Settings>Sounds and Haptics - Turn off "Vibrate on Ring." Turn on "Vibrate on Silent." Then switch the toggle (on the left side of your phone) to silent. Your phone will vibrate only but not ring. This is not ideal but at least your phone will not ring during a meeting. I hope the upcoming 14.5 iOS update fixes this issue.
