Voicemail in french

I got a voicemail today and when i went to listen to it all i got was french as soon as i called my voicemail, i read up the instructions on how to change it to english, i put in my password, and then put in the corresponding number to change it back to english. When i was done it just started saying the same thing it did when i called my voicemail, i repeatedly pressed 7 in case a french telemarketer sent me a ton of messages and that did nothing either. Help please
