Is there a trick to turning on Theater Mode?

A friend got a new Watch 6, his first Apple Watch. He'd like to turn on Theater Mode. Swipes up for Control Center. Finds Theatre Mode and taps it. A page of bumf appears explaining what Theater Mode does. There is a Cancel button, nothing else. Is there some setting that I can't find that's in the Watch app for this? Simply tapping in explanation page does nothing. I can't ever remember seeing this on my watch, but I don't remember when I first did this.

Thanks very much for any guidance.

  1. Raise your wrist to activate the Apple Watch screen or press the Digital Crown.
  2. Swipe up from the bottom of the Apple Watch to bring up Control Center.
  3. Swipe up again to access the icon that looks like a pair of theater masks.
  4. Tap the masks.
  5. A screen will pop up explaining theater mode. Tap again to activate it.
