Moving Events/Projects to Another Library Storage Problem

Hi, I was moving some of my projects and events to a new library, but I noticed that my storage capacity increased by about 200 GB. My old library was at 307 GB and is now at 66 while the new one is at just 41 GB. Nothing seems to be missing in my projects and footage, so what happened?

The most common way to reduce size is to delete generated files - that is optimized and proxy media, and render files.

When you moved the files, you should have a dialog asking if you also wanted to move optimized media, or something like that. You did not check that box, and gained that great amount of space! Good call (even if it was, as it seems, unintentional).

Most people do not need optimized media and may have be generated automatically on import, then suffer from lack of disk space unnecessarily.
