How to remove the VPN status icon from the menu bar I used to use a VPN which I removed about six months ago. I later noticed that I still had the stats icon in my menu bar but no longer see the VPN options in the Control Center Settings to remove it. There isn’t room in the status bar on phones that have Face ID.

It should appear when you're connected to a network using VPN

yes but it only appears when I pull down the control center, whereas before it was always visible in the status bar
