External Monitor
I am purchasing a MacBook Air 2020 M1. I would like to utilize an external monitor for work and streaming. Is there a recommended external monitor that supports my MacBook Air M1 2020?

I bought a UNI USB C to DisplayPort Cable 3ft (4K@60Hz, 2K@165Hz), uni Thunderbolt 3 to DisplayPort Cable (Amazon) and connect my Samsung display monitor to my new MacBook Air M1. The monitor displays perfectly, as long as the table is directly connected to the MBA.
When I connect the cable to the StayGo USB-C Hub by TwelveSouth which is connected to the MBA M1, the monitor display doesn't appear although I have turned it on. This is a bummer because if I have to connect the charging cable to the MBA and the monitor, I cannot plug in any USB flash or back up drive at the same time.
Don't even look at Dell monitors! I've got Dell U2719DC connected to my MacBook Air 2020 M1 through USB-C cable and it kinda works but all fonts are a bit fuzzy (readable but far far away from what I see on the built-in display). After some googling I found out that the reason is probably that MacBook recognizes the monitor as a TV and use YPbPr color scheme and there is nothing you can do to force it use RGB instead.
Any display up to 6K is supported. You just need the right cable, USB-C to the needed input. Get a monitor that fits your needs and budget. The LG Ultrafine 4K and 5K work well with Macs.
