Noise canceling issue on FaceTime

Hello everyone, I found a thread asking the same question, ThreadID: 251938853

It seems like there is an issue with facetime cutting out the person I am talking to.

This happens when I am speaking or when my children are making noise in the background.

The thread I mentioned before was answered with some standard answer. I think this is a global Problem .. My wife with her iPhone 12 and I with my 12 Pro Max are facing the same issue.

Has anyone an answer on that? It seems clearly software related. Speakers and microphone are working fine.

Thank you and kind regards,

Patrick

Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities, Patrick!

We understand you're having issues with the noise cancellation on both your iPhone 12 Pro Max and your wife's iPhone 12. We'd be happy to provide information to help you address this.

If you've already tried the steps in the other thread, try setting up your iPhone as new and see if the issue continues. Make sure you have a backup:

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings

Once you've restored to factory settings, set your iPhone up as new and test with a call to see if it continues cutting out. If the issue doesn't occur after that step, restore your back up and test again:

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup

Let us know the results.

Have a great day!
