Apple APP Store Purchases

I have Catalina on an early 2013 macbook pro 15. It only shows part of my purchases. I also have a late 2008 macbook pro 15 with El Capitan. This computer/OS combo shows many more purchases, including older OS versions, which is one of the main reasons I want to view them, to re-install the OS on older mac computers, as I buy and sell and repair computers. So far, I have been able to do what I needed with the older computer. But, I would like to know why the newer computer just shows part of the purchase list. Can anyone please tell me why this is working this way? And, how, if possible, to see all the purchases on the newer computer? Thanks in advance!

Hello robert9961_az,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're unable to view your purchases on the Mac App Store on one of your Macs, and we'd be happy to look into this with you.

Are you signed in with the same Apple ID on the App Store on your devices? Do you recall using another Apple ID on your old Mac in the past? Also, what happens when you look up, and try to download an app you purchased before but doesn't show up on your purchase list on your new Mac? Is it asking you to pay for it again?

To get started, please check out these helpful links:

We hope this information is useful. Kind regards.
