I can't sign in my Mac. can anyone assist me

What is the version of Mac ? do you use secondary authentication account in which answers for security questions , date of birth , rescue mail address and its password is saved or using two factor authentication account , information required from your end .
Also do you remember old admin password or completely forgotten .
