airplane mode does not disable wifi or bluetooth
Why doesn’t Bluetooth and wifi disable when I put my iPad into airplane mode?

Wi-fi and bluetooth can still be enabled even if you're on airplane mode. If you want to turn them off while in airplane mode, just turn them off on the control center.
