I tuned off my iCloud photos on my iPad but all my iPhone photos are still on the iPad taking up storage

I tuned my iCloud photos off on my iPad and all the photos are still on my iPad

If I understand you correctly ... then that is supposed to happen when your turn OFF iCloud Photos. Existing photos on your iPad will continue to exist on your iPad Photos app. Future photos that you will take on your iPhone will no longer be downloaded from iCloud onto your iPad because you have turned it OFF. Does this clarify things for you?


If you want to recover storage on your iPad, you can go ahead and delete the photos from your iPad ... and since iCloud Photos is OFF on your iPad. The photos will still exist on your iCloud storage and all other devices (iPhone) connected to that iCloud.
