Macbook Pro cannot connect with Bluetooth keyboard

Hi community,

Recently my MacBook pro 16' cannot connect to any Bluetooth Keyboard. I tried to connect with 2 keyboards already without success, they didn't appear on Bluetooth list. Another bluetooth decides are connected without any problems( tried with AirPods, Magic trackpad and Logitech mouse). Both of keyboards are still working fine (Tried to connect with another laptop and iPhone already).

Please help me to solve this problem.

Thanks.

Hello TLzLORD,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities. We see you're running into some issues using Bluetooth keyboards with your Mac. That's certainly important to look into, and we'd like to see if we can help.

For verification, you can pair other Bluetooth devices with your Mac, and you can pair the same keyboards with other devices; is that right?

Are these Apple-branded keyboards, or third-party?

You might try these steps if you haven't already: If your Apple wireless mouse, keyboard, or trackpad isn't working with your Mac as expected

Let us know if that helps. Take care.

Hi Ryane77,

"you can pair other Bluetooth devices with your Mac, and you can pair the same keyboards with other devices; is that right?" => Yes, I still can connect with Airpod pro and Logi mouse MX Master 2S. And the bluetooth keyboards can connect with other devices(my iPhone, iPad)

"Are these Apple-branded keyboards, or third-party?" => those are third-party keyboard(Keychron K6 and, lofree dot). Previous I can connect and use those without any problems.

"You might try these steps if you haven't already: If your Apple wireless mouse, keyboard, or trackpad isn't working with your Mac as expected" => Yes I tried those without any success. I also tried to remove Bluetooth plist file and reset bluetooth module.

Do you have any suggestion for me?

Thanks.

Hi TLzLORD,

Thanks for replying. To double-check, have you Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac yet? If not, see if that helps.

If you did, you might try testing this in a new user account next to see if the issue is system-wide or user-specific: Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac

Keep us posted on the results of the NVRAM reset and testing in a new user account.

Best wishes.
