Send a file via Bluetooth not available Macbook Air M1

On my 2013 Macbook Air I could go to the Bluetooth icon and send a file to my Samsung Galaxy A40 via "Send a file" menu.

I have the new M1 Macbook and this option is not showing up at all. When I go to Bluetooth File Exchange and try to browse, it says "Device doesn't have the necessary services".

My Galaxy and Macbook are paired and my sharing options set to:

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.0

Hello MadridHibs,

Thanks for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If we understand correctly, you are unable to share files from your Mac to your Android via Bluetooth.

Depending on the files being shared, they may be copyright protected or not able to be shared. here are a few resources which may help you accomplish what you're trying to do.

Set up Bluetooth sharing on Mac

Transfer files between your computer & Android device

Cheers!
