Hi penumbra_93,
We appreciate the reply! To narrow this down, we recommend testing to see if you can replicate the issue in both safe mode and in a newly-created administrator account. Those results will tell you if you have a system-wide or user-specific issue, and will also help to rule out a few possible software causes. Here are the steps:
How to use safe mode on your Mac
Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac
Feel free to let us know the results. They will help work out your next best steps. Have a good one!
Hi penumbra_93,
Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities. We see your cursor seems to be disappearing when you exit the TV+ app after using it in full screen mode. We'd like to see how we can help.
Does this happen when you exit full screen mode in any other apps, or only in the exact situation you mentioned?
Have you tried this to see if it helps? Pointers in macOS
"If you lose track of the pointer on the screen, quickly move your finger on the trackpad or quickly move the mouse—the pointer briefly gets bigger so you can see it.
You can turn off this feature. Choose Apple menu
> System Preferences, click Accessibility, click Display, then deselect the “Shake mouse pointer to locate” checkbox."
Let us know!
Take care.
Hi,
Thanks for answering. I know how to find the cursor when it's not visible by moving the mouse or use the trackpad. Please assume that I'm an advanced user. :)
As demonstrated below in the screen crop, I do find the position where the cursor should be by how it highlights the icon in the launch bar, for example. The current position of the cursor should be right on the Keynote app icon, but it doesn't show. Also, this screen crop was also done by "guessing" where the cursor is. :D In general, the cursor will not come back, until I swipe up with three fingers to call out the Misson Control.
This situation is producible by exiting the full screen from any video in TV+, so it's not occasional, but an interesting bug associated with TV+ or QuickTime Player, I suppose. The macOS and TV+ are up-to-date, maybe it can be tested on another MacBook Pro with M1 chip?
