I've been on the M1 now for the last few weeks, and so far I am impressed. I have not had any major issues pop up, the computer itself is amazingly fast, and very low heat. If you are using it for heavy duty graphics, and video editing, the M1 Air is a major leap forward to past MacBook Airs. However, depending on how involved you are with graphic/video intense programs you might want to bump up to a MacBook Pro. In the Pro, there is a fan to help keep the processor cooler. If you are just using it for school, or at home with some graphic work but not major graphic work, the M1 will be fine. Gaming on the M1 is not a issue at all. If you are a graphic professional/video editing professional etc, you might be better to get the Pro, or wait until the a larger screen pro comes out. Keep in mind for video playback, you will not have a issue at all. Also, most iOS Apps are designed to work within the screen size of your phone. They will work on the M1 with no problem, but if the App has been sized for the different screen sizes, it will stay that size on the M1. This is a issue which will work itself out as developers update or create future apps.

That depends on what you want from it.
No, it has no bugs at least in my experience with mine. But you do need to be aware of what it can and cannot do.
Since it has a new type of CPU, there are certain considerations.
Many applications not optimized for the M1 CPU will require the Rosetta 2 app to translate and run on the M1 Mac. Rosetta will download the firts time you try to run an app that needs it. You simply need to accept it when it happens.
If you need to run Windows or Windows applications, that is not yet possible. Parallels and VMware are working on M1 compatible solutions to run Windows.
Beyond that it should work like a regular Mac for most general uses.
Hello! Thanks for taking your time to respond.
Currently I don't have my own laptop, this is why I want to buy my own MacBook Air M1.
But i would not want to buy it if it has certain errors or bugs that affect the performance of the machine.
In general lines, I would use it more than anything for desktop work: office 365, slack, mails, google chrome, zoom, and some adobe programs like Illustrator.
Entertainment like: Netflix, DisneyPlus, HBO Max. Visit some webpages, online shopping, etc.
I saw some reviews and I see that there are many people commenting that the machine crashes sometimes. Thats is why my concern.
I've been using my M1 MacBook Air for much the same things, and have not experienced any crashes or performance issues.
For what you want it for, it should work just fine.
I do suggest getting as much storage as you can afford and if possible choose 16GB of RAM.
Other than that, I've had no issues with it. It has worked fine for me.
