About a week after my update to macOS Big Sur 11.1 the Google drag&drop feature in image search in both my Safari and Firefox browser is broken. When clicked on the camera symbol the UI turns into undesigned text with a generic link "Upload image". When clicked it shows an old fashioned upload button ("Browse...") How can I get the drag & drop feature back?
Drag & drop feature in Wordpress works fine.
FWIW, just figured out Google Drag & Drop image search works in a private window with Safari & Firefox. Probably other browsers as well.
You're welcome. Safari is a little different. You don't get the drop image here message. Just drag the image into the field to the left of "Search by image".

Just coincidence. It's broken an all desktop platforms for some users now (tested: Safari 14.0.2, Chrome 88 on Big Sur, Chrome 87/88 on High Sierra, Chrome 87/88 on Windows 10, Safari [Desktop mode] on iOS 14.3; Netherlands and Russia).
Hey you guys. I found a decent WorkARound.
Go to Google > Images and then just type something into the little Box, like Beanz.
Then on the next page, VOILA!!! The Search Box Works. Yay!
FWIW, it doesn't seem to be a Big Sur problem. It doesn't work in High Sierra either. I guess your stuck with clicking on "Upload an image".
I've had the same problem for at least a Week. Yours is the first post about it that I found.
Of course, I'm on a 2010 Mac Pro in Mojave and Safari's webloc icons were Broke Two Security updates ago, so it seems Apple doesn't give a gnat's azz about us Old OS users..

Thank you all for your replies! I guess we'll just have to wait until someone bothers to fix where and whatever is wrong with it. Probably Google.
Still works perfect for me on Safari in Mojave. The "Thing" is, you need to keep going back to a fresh Google Page any time you need to search a different Image.
