Skype wants to sign using key “Apple ID Authentication ...” in your keychain.

I have the same problem as BluesBrother3 and others. I am now running Big Sur (in an effort to get rid of this situation), but the problem persists and the modal won't go away unless I close Skype and then hit "deny" a few times. After a couple of days, the modal pops up again. I have my keychain turned off on all devices, so I'm unclear what is causing this. No help from Microsoft.

Hello, I am having this stupid issue as well. I've only had my first Mac about 6 months and don't even know what Keychain is or what it does. If turning it off works would you mind telling me how to do that? Thanks

Happening w me (asking for my VPN password!) in Mojave and I'm on a 2015 Macbook Pro w/ Intel.

Same issue on Sierra (mid 2015 Mac that won't allow me to install any higher OS version). Super annoying. I tried the keychain data deletion too and it just came back. Very frustrating.

What I would like to know is why does Apple give the options 1) Always Allow 2) Allow, or 3) Deny. Why isn't there an "Always Deny" option? That would seem to take of the problem.

False. This issue is happening to me on a MacBook Air 2013 running El Capitan. It's some issue with the Skype software.

I also tried Holbrooke's solution. It seemed to work for a day or so, then the problem came right back. Has anyone been able to get a response from Microsoft?

I agree. Why is Tim Cook so oblivious to this? Too busy counting his money?
