- Play app directly from phone - Yay ! it works. - Not exactly the audio experience i'd hope for, but at least the homepod looks pretty.

I noticed this suddenly one day last week. Some how it worked this morning but I always turn off James o’Brian and it’s back to not working again.

I had the same problem the other day and could only get LBC Manchester to work. Yet, today, just saying play LBC U.K. works again! Of course still can’t get BBC channels to work.

Agree, still an issue and it’s getting really annoying.
At this point the HomePod is good....to turn the lights on.
Hmm it does sound better than the competitors I've heard but yeah Alexa and Apple Shortcuts/Siri are worlds apart.
