Why is my software not updated in 12.5.1?
My software update is not updated in 12.5.1 how to fix this issue?

An iPhone running iOS 12.5.1 can not be an iPhone 6S. It has to be an iPhone 5S, 6 or 6 Plus.

Unfortunately iOS 12.5.1 is as high as your iPhone 6 can go.

If it says the device is up to date and you need a higher OS version you will have to buy newer equipment.
