I just spoke with a rep from Broderbund today. Their latest version of the Print Shop on their website will work with Catalina and Big Sur (verify in the specifications before buying of course). The kicker is that I will be able to access NONE of my previous print shop projects from my older laptop with the older version of the Print Shop because it is 32 bit and Big Sur is 64 bit. Fortunately I am keeping the old Mac around on the old IOS for my kids so I will still be able to access it there. I may just check out Swift Publisher for my newer Mac instead. Best of luck!

Did the idiots at Broderbund tell you that? Files are not 32-bit or 64-bit. The newer version of the app should have no problem opening older versions unless Broderbund specifically wrote that out of the code. Your particular issue is not the only source of my connotation of the intelligence of the Broderbund developers.

I may just check out Swift Publisher for my newer Mac instead.

They seem like a better company. I used both apps, previously, but not for much time at all, so take my opinion for what they all are worth in the end.

There are posts in the community about others that purchased the new Catalina/Big Sur compatible Printshop software and they were expressively unhappy with the purchase. Caveat emptor.

I suspect that Swift Publisher will be on the Mac long after Broderbund becomes a Windows exclusive business.

Yes! He definitely made it seem like it was apple’s fault for not supporting older 32 bit programs. Cheeky.
