My lighting plug earpods just stopped working

My lighting plug earpods just stopped working after the recent update. When i plug in my headphones they are detected as bluetooth beats. the same happens on my husband’s iphone and we updated at the same time.

iPhone 11 Pro Max, iOS 14

Hmm, check the charging port for lint or other debris and see this:

If your headphones don‘t work with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
