Turn bedtime mode on but do not disturb off

Seems a silly question to ask but I’ve got the Apple Watch 6 and when I am trying to sleep at night the light keeps me up, yet when I put on bedtime mode it sets all notifications to do not disturb. If I try and toggle do not disturb off, it switches off bedtime mode which in turn makes my watch face shine up again.

I spend a lot of nights on call, so need my notifications to come through on loud, but other than not wearing my watch ( and the O2 reading overnight was part of the reason I got it) I can’t find a solution.

So is there either an option to turn the watch face down or have all notifications coming through on my phone whilst in bedtime mode?

Even better if that means no notifications to watch so I’m not tinged to do breathing hourly! Basically I want my watch in bedtime mode but my phone not.
