Dolby Digital Output via HDMI on Mac Mini

Just bought a Mac Mini M1.I connected It to AV Home teather via HDMI.At the moment i have audio 7.1.is possible to have Dolby Digital Output ? any tip to suggest?

Connecting a sound system to the mini m1 2020 Good Evening. :-) I've got the new mac mini m1 and an older sound (multimedia/home cinema-) system with an integrated 5.1. amplifier (Motiv 5) and a decoder-station too, both made by Teufel. I would like to know if there is a way to connect this devices. Maybe there won't be any surround sound but halfway acceptable stereo quality would be enough for me ...at first. Would that work? And if so, what would I need? Thank you for your support!

Multichannel audio has been an adventure since the Mini first

came out with an HDMI port and over the years it has seemed

no single solution worked for all equipment combinations.

Best if you describe all the equipment involved and the

apps you intend to use for playback.

Use Apple TV 4K. The mini isn't for home theater.
