Can't discover Sony bluetooth headphones on M1 MBA Big Sur 11.1

I have Sony WI-C600N bluetooth headphones. They connect fine on my windows laptop and android phone. I have been unable to connect them to the new MBA.

a) The headphones were in pairing mode when I tried to connect them to MBA

b) The Bluetooth of MBA was enabled. I could see other nearby devices, while I couldnt see my specific headphones.

c) I have been able to connect other bluetooth headphones to the MBA.

Any idea on how can I go about resolving the issue?

Hi there harshpa,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you are trying to pair your headphones with your MacBook but it is not seeing them. Since other devices connect to your Mac and to the headphones, we know the hardware is working properly on both devices. Try restarting the Mac and resetting the headphones, if possible to pair only to the Mac and unpair from all of your other devices.
