My printer is mentioned as offline when I try to print a document

Hi, for any reason my printer is mentioned as offline when i try to print a document when it is actually online. Can someone help me to make it online?

Do you have the latest drivers (the European or Australian site)?

If ncessary, reset the printing system.

Also, any change if you try to connect the printer wirelessly, via a Wi-Fi router?

If necessary, you may have to re-install drivers (downloaded from an applicable Epson web site).

Yes, the reason for asking about the Wi-Fi was to rule out a problem with the USB communication. If you have access to a Wi-Fi router, you could try this.

Which printer (make and model)? Also, which Mac model/year, and how is the printer connected?

I don't know which driver I have...

I reset the printing system and it is weird as 2 documents have been printed out a few minutes after I cancelled the job.

I had no problem printing before I updated to Big Sur so may be there is a communication problem

virginie179 You may want to see if the Epson XP 235 can be set to Apple AirPrint instead of having to constantly update the drivers on your Epson XP 235. I just checked the Apple Website for a very long list of Apple AirPrint prints and unfortunately the Epson XP 235 is not listed as an Apple AirPrint compatible printer.
