Disable the mic on LG UltraFine 5K Display?

I have a 2020 M1 Mac mini with an LG UltraFine 5K display. The display has a built-in camera, built-in microphone, and built-in speakers.

When I go to System Preferences -> Sound -> Input, the mic is listed as 'LG UltraFine Display Audio.'

With the Input Volume set all the way left, the mic still registers as many as 4 bars for a normal conversation. There is no mute button for the mic.

Does anyone know how to disable or mute the mic?

I called LG per suggestion from Apple and they have no solution currently. I also have an active case with Apple.
