I just spilled a small amount of liquid on my macbook pro keyboard and speaker. I do not see any problems right now but I do not know how to tell if there is any damage. How do I know if there is any damage to my laptop?

It needs to be inspected by an authorized service center. Liquid damage is often extensive and ongoing.
Also put you homeowners'/renters' insurance carrier on notice of a potential loss. Many notebook computers never recover from a liquid spill, and insurance is the only financial relief you may get. Many such policies cover your tech gear.
