Why are some folders not showing the iCloud icon?

Hi there,

I have dropped everyting in my Icloud Drive that I would like to save. But some folders are not showing the icon. I can't figure out why that is. Can someone help me with this?

Folder in iCloud has dotted cloud icon next to it I don't normally use iCloud but I tried to start. The iCloud drive is there in my Finder. I created a folder in it from within the Finder and put some files in it which I then deleted. I am talking about from on my Mac in the Finder, not on iCloud.com. Ever since I deleted those files, the folder has a dotted cloud icon next to it to the right. I am not sure why this is. Does anyone know how why and how I can fix it?

What is this icon? What does the folder icon with a white bar mean? Other folders don't have it. This is also a folder that is stuck on "Waiting to Upload" for iCloud.

These folders/files are in the cloud. If you want to download afile on to your mac, click on it
