Why hasn’t Apple fixed the “Restrictions Enabled” on the News app problem yet?

QUESTION by young1215: I'm trying to use my News app, but when I look for it in my apps I can't find it. When I go to the App Store to download it, it appears as if I have it downloaded. When I press "open" it says that the app is restricted. "Restrictions Enabled Certain apps, features, or services can't be seen or used when Restrictions are on. To use this app, turn Restrictions off."

I had the same issue on my new IPhone 12 Pro Max. Before getting too frustrated, and knowing how apple products work (I’ve been an Apple consumer since 2008) and not to waste my time trying to figure this one out myself, I started searching online forums right away. I found this answer about 20 minutes into my search. The answer worked for me AND ****** me off at the same time! Why is this easy answer so hard to find?? And why hasn’t Apple rolled out an update to fix the issue??? Come on Apple, catch up to 2021!

I solved problem from the web. Restriction on/off never resolved issue on my case.

Settings>General>Language and Region>. Select another region from US and then back to US again.

That's it.
