Scanning documents on Notes (iPhone7)

I'm just trying this but it wants me to pay to send the images and/or the pdf's. I've tried both. ~$1.00/image. Is that correct?

iPhone 7, iOS 14

Brian, I just wrote you a long note then hit cancel instead of post. I can't believe I did that. To summarize though, I was unable to recreate what I did the other day (multiple times) but I remember it had to do with the only option I was offered after making the scan--the 3 dots at the top of the screen.

Today, in trying to figure out what my earlier steps were, I actually WAS able to scan and email a new document and had many options besides the three dots so there wasn't a problem. So I guess it's solved, at least for now.

I've no idea what I did differently, other than having more options after scanning.

Hello bzribee,

It sounds as though you've scanned documents in to the Notes application on your iPhone 7, but you're attempting to share the or send the scanned document elsewhere. Can you provide the steps you're taking to send that document, and to which application or service you're attempting to send the document too? For example, are you attempting to attach the document to email in the Mail application, send as a Message, or a different process?

The reason I want to clarify upon how the document is being shared is because you wouldn't be charged when sharing or attaching the document in Messages or Mail. If you're using a third-party app that requires a subscription, or offers a billed service there may be a charge. That would be best answered by the application developer though.
