My Powerbeats pro wireless earbuds appear to constantly be “on”. I get a pop-up notification on my iphone that states they are connected. Is this draining the ear phone battery life because they are constantly connected?

As mentioned on the support page that brought you to the community forums, once you've paired them with a device, anytime they're out of their charging case, they're on and ready to start being used. Putting them in your ears will start playback, taking them out will pause the playback. If you want to turn them off, return them to the charging case.
If your Powerbeats Pro are functioning this way, resetting them may help: Reset your Beats earphones

How do I turn off my powerbeats pro wireless headphones? I use them primarily for workouts. However I constantly get a pop-up on my iphone that says my Powerbeats pro earphones are still connected.
