Can I exclude files or folders from external drive in Time Machine
I am using 2 external disks, one for my data and another for Time Machine.
I am not able to exclude Files/Folders from my external data disk in Time Machine, it's grey-out.

Time Machine may be confused which drive is which. Perhaps turn off Time Machine, determine which one has the backup dated folders created by Time Machine, and rename that "My Time Machine" drive, so when you go to select the additional files from the other drive, you are sure to select the right drive.

Is the external device Sunll you have hooked up the drive that the Time Machine data is backed up to? That may be why it is grayed out. You can only backup to a different drive for obvious reasons.
No. It is the same, even turning off Time Machine my external data disk files / folders are grey-out.
Go to Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Time Machine -> Options to add folders for exclusion.
No. Not working. All folders / files are greyed out. Can't select any.
Turn off Time Machine before you do it.
No. I have 2 separate drives. One is dedicated to Time Machine and another for data. The data drive files and folders are greyed out. What could be the reason? Thanks a brody.
