I have brought my daughter ipad 10.2 2020 and there is a small hairline crack in the corner not on the screen she says she has not dropped it only had it 2 days. Will I be covered for a return is this a common problem with the ipad?
We, just users like you, cannot judge about that kind of issue.
Only Apple technicians, at an Apple Store or Authorized Service Provider, after checking that device can judge if it was an accidental event (not covered by warranty) or manufaturer's defect (covered by warranty).
Make an appointment and have that iPad inspected.

It could get worse and a case could make it worse if it is a tight fitting case.
iPad screens do NOT typically crack on their own.
Please do what ProustGuilio recommended.
Unless you can prove to Apple/Apple employees that this screen crack is a manufacuring defect, you might have to live with this crack or pay an expensive, out-of-warranty device replacement cost or maybe plead your case to Apple/Apple employees and hope they might give you a free, replacement iPad, since this iPad is still within the 14-day return policy window.
