I have a 13in Macbook pro, 2016 running OS 11.1. I just noticed that the cover does not close completely and it seems to be bulging underneath. Does anyone ever have this problem?

It may be possible that the battery is defective and starting to swell. At this point, I suggest that you stop using this notebook immediately and make a Genius Bar appointment at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider to have them take a look and provide you with your options.

Thanks, you too. Sorry that I couldn't provide you with better news, but you really need to have this looked at. Lithium batteries can and do explode, so for nothing else, do so for your safety sake. Hopefully, I will be wrong and it may just be a defective case.
