iPhone 6s WiFi button "greyed out" & unresponsive, why?

I am working on my Granny's iPhone 6s that she has through Cricket mobile. It is in great shape and she's only had it for 6 months. I go to Settings>General>WiFi and the WiFi on/off switch is grey and will not respond at all, it has always done this. I just updated the phone from iOS 12.2 to the most recent iOS 14.3. It is doing the same thing. It looks like some other people have had this problem in the past but since it is an older model I can't find any solutions.

Thanks in advance!
