Hi sonnika,

I see that a folder has disappeared.

  • Does opening Mission Control (Application > Mission Control) reveal anything?
  • Is the window minimized?
  • Try clicking on the Finder icon, then control clicking, and see if the folder is listed on the control click.
  • Click on the Apple Menu in the top left > Recent Items > See if the folder is there.
  • If these fail, do you have iCloud Desktop and Documents on, or a Time Machine Backup? If you do, you can attempt to restore the folder?

Let us know the results!

Cheers,

Jack

Try Relaunching Finder:

  1. Go to: Apple menu
  2. Select: Force Quit...
  3. Select: Finder
  4. Click: Relaunch button
  5. Click: Relaunch button

I have now realized three other folders that were in my desktop are also missing.

I don't know how to use Mission Control.

I do have iCloud and documents but don't see any thing there. i do have time machine but I am really nervous to mess with it.

I may just wait to call apple support in the a.m. Thank you for your help. I'm afraid if I make a wrong move then I'll lose them for sure, in case I still have them that is.

Lately my mouse has been ultra-sensitive and I'm wondering if I moved it incorrectly and it somehow deleted everything. Weird though that nothing was in the Trash..
