Controlstrip not working

I shut down my MacBook Pro and when I started up the Control strip on the touch bar didn't even show up the icon to open it.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.1

Yes, as posted above If you have tried a make changes to your user preferences with no change...

>System Preferences>Touchbar

Customize the Touch Bar on Mac - Apple Support


Change Control Strip buttons

On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Keyboard, then click Keyboard. 


Click Customize Control Strip.
Expand the Control Strip in the Touch Bar, if you want.

it typically indicates a hardware problem and assessment/repair is the way forward

Controlstrip not working
