What is wrong with the Airpods A1523?

I've extensively searched across the internet and the Apple community and found no solution so far... I am facing the same problem I saw some users reporting. Looks like the 6.8.8 firmware screwed up with the Airpods and I can't use them any longer than few minutes.


After a certain time the Pods are getting disconnected while listening to music or anything... only the left one suddenly disconnects even with full charge. The iPhone is showing the case and both pods 100% charged.

Looks like Apple don't supply any type of support other than telling a useless resetting solution or software updates. My iPhone is always at the latest iOS version and the pods sit in the case for hours and hours and is still showing version 6.8.8 which I'd observed for the disconnection issues at my A1523's version 6.8.8 firmware..
