Why cant' I find the “people” tab in “find my” app on my iphone 8??

Thanks for getting back to us with the additional information. Using Search on your iPhone, we'd like to have you type in "Find My" and open the Find My app instead of going through Settings:

Use Search on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

"Swipe to search

1. Swipe down from the middle of the Home screen.
2. Tap the Search field, then enter what you're looking for. As you type, Search updates results in real time.
3. To see more results, tap Show More or search directly in an app by tapping Search in App.
4. Tap a search result to open it."

Here's what the app should look like with the People tab after:

Yes, that looks exactly as the Find My app should. You'll want to use the same steps to open the app in the future in order to locate your devices or other people in it. If you run in to any other questions or issues using the app in the future, please reach out and let us know.

To start, could you tell us more about what tabs you do have in the Find My app instead? What iOS version are you currently running? Are you sharing your location with at least one other person?

We appreciate the screenshot. You'll want to tap on the icon with the green circle and blue dot in it at the top of the search results that says "Find My" right below it. This should open the Find My app and give you the "People" tab across the bottom of the screen when the app is open.
